How To Change Your Newborn Baby Diapers
A newborn baby uses almost 10 diapers everyday. Therefore, it is crucial for parents to know the correct way to change the infant’s diapers. Here are some steps to change your newborn baby diapers.
First of all, lay your baby flat on a table or diapers changing area. Make sure you have place a towel on the table as to avoid the table from getting dirty. If your baby is moving around, try to distract him/her by playing some musical toys or singing while unfastening the diapers. Once you have unfastened the diapers, use a baby wipe to clean the remaining urine and stools. Then, remember to use a dry cloth to wipe your baby’s skin until dry. Do not keep it wet as this might cause infection later on.
Make sure you fold the used diaper into half and keep it aside. Then, get a new and clean diaper and place it underneath the infant. Most of the newborn babies use cloth diapers as they are more economical and easy to be used. Fold the front part of the diaper upward between the baby’s legs. Make sure the diaper is in place and pinned securely using a diaper pin.
Use a waterproof pants to cover the diaper. Do not use a tight pant as this will make your baby feels uncomfortable and itchy.
Following these steps will avoid your baby from getting infections such as diaper rash. Most importantly is to change the diaper frequently and make sure the new diaper is clean and dry.
It is not that difficult to change your baby’s diapers if you know the trick to make your infant stay calm. You can let your baby have the baby bite and sing while changing diapers.
