Can I change to Enfamil Lipil to Enfamil for babies with gases and fussines?
My almost 2 months baby is drinking Enfamil Lipil, but I want tto know if it is ok to changeit to the Enfamil for babies with gases and fussines? It that milk same in nutrients?
I don't know if the nutrients match exactly, but I know that the major brands (Enfamil, Similac, etc.) have all good products. My baby had to switch also. After starting on Similac Advance, we actually had to go to a different brand for several months (Neocate) because of a milk protein allergy. Next step was Similac Alimentum for many months before being able to switch back to the regular Similac Advance. No, the ingredients are not exactly the same in the three products, which is why his tummy could actually tolerate the Neocate and later the Alimentum. But he is extraordinarily strong, bright, and developing well. There is no nutritional deficiency there. (Had a checkup today) Keep in mind that letting your baby be gassy and fussy and in pain for several months may limit their development a lot more than changing formula, because the child is too uncomfortable to participate socially or pay a lot of attention to what's going on around him. My baby wouldn't even make eye contact with me before I switched formula, and his social skills were not on track at all. But after the new formula he clearly felt better and made amazing progress. Now he is doing great! Like the others said, check with your doctor first.
